Hello. I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Ohio. I received my Masters from the University of Toledo and have been practicing for 12 years. I find that having clarity is vital to making changes in our lives. Why we do the things we do, often not even being aware of why we do them. Gaining insight into how our thoughts are impacting our behaviors is crucial to change. Changing the way we interact with others can greatly impact our daily functioning, reduce our stress, and improve our relationships with the people in our lives. Making these changes increases the potential for a more joyful life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with introductions, followed by the reason you have taken this important step as well as your expectations and goals. I will gather information through an assessment which will help us create a plan to work on throughout our time together. We will also review the nature of confidentiality within a therapeutic relationship and its limitations, so that we can begin our therapeutic relationship on solid ground. Lastly, if this is your first time participating in therapy, I will go over the therapeutic process and our roles within our dynamic.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have experience with working with individuals from multiple walks of life which has broadened my understanding of the different challenges that each of us can encounter in our journey through life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our behaviors are driven by our thoughts, so it is important to identify how our established belief system and thought patterns influence our behavior. We will explore areas of change that you would like to work on if you're feeling as if you want improvement in a particular area.

Strength-Based

Reinforcing the things that we are good at increases our positive outlook and helps to build resilience. Oftentimes, we don't acknowledge our strengths because we are focused on our weaknesses, which takes away from our progress in life. We will explore and identify areas of strengths in order to increase your confidence and ability to problem solve.

Motivational Interviewing

"Change is hard." We've heard the expression, we know what it means. However, the reason that the change is often hard can be obscure. Through open and honest dialogue, we can get to the bottom of what's holding you back.
