Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Massachusetts. I received my Master's degree from Salem State University and have been practicing for four years. I like to use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help my clients better understand the relationship between thoughts and emotions or behaviors, and restructure negative thinking into positive thoughts and action. I also have 4 years of experience treating substance use disorder (SUD) primarily using a motivational interviewing (MI) technique.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We will start with brief introductions and get into the more specific goals of your treatment. We will work together to create a treatment plan that you are comfortable with going forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with clients of all ages, from child to senior, and I have developed a comfort and competency for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a goal-oriented and collaborative approach that focuses on the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and that it also offers tools to manage their thoughts and emotions effectively. One of my main goals of the CBT therapy process is to empower the client going forward. I have seen great success with clients over the years in challenging negative thinking in the moment and restructuring negative cognitions into more beneficial thinking. in their lives outside of treatment.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a process of discussing a patient's motivations for growth and exploring any ambivalence between an individual's motivations and their behaviors.
