Welcome! I'm so glad that you are here and taking the first step to seek support. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida. I received my Masters from the University of West Florida. I have been practicing for 4 years and my professional experience as a social worker has stemmed over 7 years. I have experience with helping clients of various ages navigate life's obstacles, challenges, and the unknown. I will empower you by teaching you skills to process emotions in a healthy way, engage in positive relationships, and develop a more balanced lifestyle using various treatment approaches.
In our first session together, we'll start with introductions and making sure we are a good fit. We will dive into any worries you have about starting therapy, and what you are hoping to gain from our sessions. Together, we will explore challenges you're facing and identify your goals for your therapeutic journey. Your comfort and well-being are of utmost importance, and I am here to support you.
My greatest strengths as a therapist lies within genuine compassion and empathy. I'm committed to understanding your unique experiences and emotions so that we can partner to create a treatment plan that makes sense for you. I believe that everyone has the capacity for personal growth and transformation, and my experience as a therapist has taught me the importance of collaboration in the therapeutic process to help uncover inner resources and strengths to overcome challenges and achieve goals.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a treatment method that helps clients change their thought processes from automatic negative thoughts to more desirable patterns. The sessions are structured where we will work to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors. The process involves learning to develop coping strategies and problem-solving skills during and between sessions to improve emotional regulation and overall well-being.
Motivational Interviewing is a treatment method that helps clients resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the motivation they need to change their behavior. This approach is a short-term, practical process that takes into consideration how difficult it can be to make life changes. This approach is effective in addressing addiction and the management of physical health conditions.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy is a short-term goal focused therapeutic approach. This approach is used if you would rather focus on creating solutions for your current challenges than gaining insight into them. In our sessions we will focus on your present and future needs and develop skills that you can use to move forward, achieve your life goals, and manage difficult situations. This approach has been found effective in managing emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal concerns.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a treatment method that focuses on developing ways to cope with stress, regulate intense emotions, and improving relationships with others. I have completed several trainings related to this treatment method to provide quality care to clients facing addiction, self-harming behavior, personality disorders, and other behavioral challenges.
Strength-Based Therapy is a form of talk therapy where the client is able to share their trauma, pain, and stressors from the past or present in a trauma-informed, safe space. We will focus on identifying and building upon your internal strengths, self-esteem, and interpersonal skills to highlight the capacities that can help us on the path to healing and thriving.
