I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has over 14 years of experience working with adolescents and adults seeking help with traumatic experiences(childhood trauma, abuse, neglect,or any intense event or situation that caused emotional distress), occupational stress, life transitioning, daily stressors, anxiety, depression, relationships, grief and loss, self-esteem,sleep disturbance, anger management, and more. I provide a warm, empathetic, nonjudgmental and safe environment where my clients can be open and their authentic self. I do not use a cookie-cutter approach for treating clients as each session is tailored to meet the needs of the client. I have successfully assisted clients with gaining insight, finding inner strength, and developing strategies necessary to make a change in your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is the beginning of the rapport building process. It more like a meet and greet. I share a little about myself and my therapy style. You will have the opportunity to share about yourself and discuss your specific challenges in a welcoming environment. I will ask questions throughout the sessions to gather information. At the end of the session, we will discuss working together and the next steps of your journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are my honesty, empathy, transparency, strong therapeutic rapport

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand the connections behind their negative or distorted thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors. Changing your thoughts will impact how you feel and behave.

Psychodynamic

I use Psychodynamic to help enhance the client’s self-awareness, beliefs in relation to their past experiences, especially his or her experiences as a child which allows the client to form a more functional and positive sense of self.

Strength-Based

I use this method to help clients focus on their internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than on weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings. Clients develop a positive mindset that helps them build on their best qualities, discover their strengths, improve resilience, and change their worldview to one that is more positive.
