I have been working in the helping professions for over 15 years. Having seen how trauma can affect so many of us, I focused on learning ways to help others get through the trauma and live healthy, fulfilled and value based lives. I am here to help you on your journey to finding your own Inner Sun. I use a blend of brain and body based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My primary modality is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy), based on the Adaptive Information Processing model. Neuroscience and studies on Neuroplasticity are baring out that the mind can heal itself. Old pathways and negative memories can be updated with new adaptive information. EMDR uses eye movements and other forms of physical tapping and Bi-Lateral stimulation to help the brain process old stuck memories and trauma. Not just for Big Trauma's like car accidents, it can help with many issues from the past, present and perceived future concerns including PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety and more specific issues such as religious abuse, shame, guilt and pain management.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Informal session centered on getting to know each other session, and about the process of therapy and identifying goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in working on any issues that are current or from the past, that are keeping us from moving forward. We can explore traumas or complex trauma that has been reinforced over longer periods of time. This can include people who have past, present and perceived future concerns including PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety and more specific issues such as religious abuse, shame, guilt and pain management.
