I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with an MA in counseling and art therapy from Ursuline College. I specialize in helping adults navigate life transitions, self-discovery, relationships, and emotional well-being. As a queer-identified African American womxn, I value the uniqueness and diversity of each client, creating a safe and affirming space for LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent individuals. I use Brainspotting, ACT, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients process emotions, heal trauma, and take meaningful steps toward growth.
In our first session together, I will answer any questions you have, explain how therapy works and what to expect, and ask some questions about you to get a good picture of your life and what to focus on in our work together.
My practice is unique because I specialize in working with clients who feel "stuck" or have "tried everything" and are open to exploring new approaches. I provide tools that help clients break free from intellectualizing their problems and dive deeper into emotional healing. I am passionate about this work because I believe in the transformative power of connection and growth. Together, we can help you create a meaningful and rewarding life.
My ideal clients are introspective, open-minded, and committed to their growth, including high achievers and intellectuals who may struggle with emotional connection and creating lasting change. The majority of my clients identify as neurodivergent and are navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, identity issues, stress, and self-esteem challenges.
In my practice, I utilize brainspotting with clients who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and other conditions. I find brainspotting to be a dynamic, effective and captivating tool for rapid change. Through brainspotting clients have increased ability for change by making insightful connections on what lies at the root of their problems. Brainspotting is a great tool for those who feel stuck or that they've tried everything and want to explore a different approach to change.
Life doesn't have to be perfect to be meaningful! Through ACT I teach you clients how to stop fighting your thoughts and start living your dreams. Through my approach I will take you through activities and exercises to learn how to apply these skills to your everyday life and live a more rewarding life. With my clients we have successfully used ACT to manage and reduce anxiety, depression, chronic pain, stress, and more.
I believe in empowering my clients to identify and build upon their strengths to create positive change in their lives. Through SFBT, I collaborate with clients to explore their goals and develop practical, solution-focused strategies to achieve them. By emphasizing the present and future rather than dwelling on past problems, I help clients envision a clearer path forward and cultivate the resilience and resources necessary to navigate life's challenges. Together, we work towards tangible, sustainable solutions that promote growth, well-being, and overall life satisfaction.
