Hello. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I graduated in 2014 and have worked in a variety of settings working with survivors of domestic violence, trauma victims and individuals dealing with anxiety, depression and grief. I believe counseling is a collaborative effort between my client and myself. I consider myself their biggest cheerleader in helping them achieve their goals and become the best version of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After brief introductions, you'll be able to share what brings you to counseling and we can begin to develop an initial working plan. It is possible there are a variety of factors so we can identify what is a priority for you. It is extremely important for me that you feel comfortable so you can freely express your thoughts and feelings.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I believe one of my greatest strengths is the ability to connect with a diverse group of people. I am compassionate and caring but also direct. As I said before, I am your greatest cheerleader.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

Understanding that no client is exactly the same, I utilize a variety of methods to best help achieve the desired goals my client is seeking. At the forefront is an unconditional positive regard for my client offering a safe space to be vulnerable and express their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.

Positive Psychology

By using Positive Psychology, I'm able to assist client in changing their perspective of their situation. It does not negate that a situation is bad or we feel down but empowers us to view ourselves in a different light thus changing our perspective.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Understanding how our thoughts, emotions and behavior are connected is imperative in taking action to improve our situation. Being able to identify triggers, assess our emotions and create action plan can substantially improve our well-being and outlook.
