My therapeutic approach is based on a collaborative, integrative framework aimed at helping clients enhance self-awareness and develop effective coping skills. I frequently employ a variety of interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to explore self-talk and integrate self-compassion, while also teaching mindfulness techniques, and more. My goal is to create a nonjudgmental atmosphere where clients feel safe to explore their concerns. *Please note: I am not able to complete any requests for administrative services such as disability certifications or special accommodations (including Emotional Support Animal letters) related to psychological conditions. *I do not see court mandated clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will get to know each other. I will ask you several questions about who you are, how you relate to others, what bothers you, what your therapy goals are, etc. You will also learn a little bit about who I am as a therapist. Here, we will determine if we are a good fit, and if so, schedule our next follow up appointment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths as a provider are my ability to pick up on clients' self-talk, as well as my attentiveness to how clients interact with/relate to others in social relationships (e.g., exploring communication styles, boundaries, etc.).

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I frequently employ interventions informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), emphasizing self-talk & encouraging self-compassion.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I am a client-centered therapist, which means I follow your pace and focus on what you want to discuss. However, there will be times when I might bring up a topic or encourage you to try something new! That said, I will frequently check in with you to ensure we are on the same page and that you are benefiting from therapy.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I enjoy bringing in techniques from DBT in my work to offer a tailored, blended approach.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I frequently integrate mindfulness techniques so that clients can gain awareness into their own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Trauma Informed Care

I believe in taking a trauma-informed approach, meaning I go at your pace, and you decide when you want to work on your trauma.
