Hello! My Name is Georgina, I am an LCSW practicing in Southern California. I specialize in the areas of relationships, self-identity, and intergenerational trauma. I take an inclusive, person-centered approach to explore how external and internal stimuli feed into depression, anxiety, and self-esteem. My goal is to help you find authentic confidence in the ways you engage in self-care, relationships, and the ongoing transitions in your life. If you feel as though your foundation for relationships (familial, platonic, or romantic) was not built on solid ground, I am here to help. It is easy to feel alone when we are struggling. Community is an essential part of our lives, and improving how we seek connection is imperative. Together we can develop the skills needed to meet life with confidence. Starting therapy can be both exciting and intimidating. Our healing journey can sometimes lead us down unfamiliar paths that are difficult to navigate alone. Sharing our innermost concerns, although vulnerable, can provide some relief. My goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, non-judgmental space for you to explore your worries and gain some peace of mind. *PLEASE NOTE: I am not able to accommodate for session times that are not shown on my scheduling availability calendar. If you would like to have session with me it must be at the times available on the scheduling calendar.*

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

The treatment modalities I use are tailored to the needs of the people I work with in order to ensure an authentic connection to their healing process. I commonly use strategies from modalities such as Somatic Therapy, Seeking Safety, Psychosocial analysis, and CBT to help people explore and cope with how we experience trauma in our minds and bodies. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness are treatment methods I use to help those who are becoming more familiar with themselves and the world of introspection. Most importantly, I hope to help people develop a sense of confidence and self-sufficiency with whichever methods we may choose to explore in our time together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am aware and can empathize with the complexities of belonging to marginalized and underserved communities, I am mindful of how interactions with the outside world influence our internal systems. I lean toward strategies that are inclusive, culturally competent, and trauma-informed. In alignment with these values, I am enthusiastic about exploring the way relationship dynamics contribute to how disconnected or connected we feel to ourselves and each other. I have a strong motivation to work with those who have experiences with relationship issues/intimate partner violence, intergenerational and family trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, difficult life transitions, and neurodivergence such as ASD and ADHD.
