I’m a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Missouri and Oklahoma with more than 13 years of experience, helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. I work with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, depression, ADHD, self-esteem issues, life, transitions, and difficulties with confidence and self-worth. I believe the healing happens through connection. My approach is warm, compassionate, and client centered, creating a safe and supportive space for client skills seen, heard and understood. I strive to build authentic therapeutic relationships, grounded in trust, respect, and collaboration. I am passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, navigate obstacles, and recognize the strengths they already possess. Together, we can explore patterns that may be holding you back, develop practical tools for growth, and worked toward creating a life that feels more balanced and meaningful.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and creating a comfortable space where you feel safe to share your story. We will talk about what has brought you to therapy, the challenges you are facing, and the goals you would like to work toward. Starting therapy can be overwhelming, but don’t worry. You do not need to have everything figured out. Many clients come to their first session with questions, uncertainty, or simply a sense that something isn’t working the way they would like it to-and that is okay.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a balance of compassion, authenticity, and practicality to my work as a therapist. I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can open leaks for your experiences, gain insight, and work towards the life you want to build. My approach is person centered, meaning with therapy is tailored to your unique needs, strengths, and goals. I draw from evidence based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy, to help clients, better understand patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and create lasting change. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I thoughtfully adapt each session to meet you where you are and support the growth that matters most to you. I believe therapy is most effective when it combines understanding with action. Together, we can explore the experiences, patterns, and challenges that have shaped your life while also identifying practical ways to move toward your goals. My role is to provide support, perspective, and guidance as you discover what growth and healing looks like for you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

In my 10+ years of professional experience I have helped individuals and families face and overcome a variety of challenges. I specialize in supporting clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and high levels of life stress and who are seeking a supportive space to gain understanding and relief. I’m also passionate about helping families improve communication, resolve conflict, and foster stronger and more fulfilling relationships. Many of my clients are parents and/or working professionals looking to improve their day-to-day functioning while balancing multiple responsibilities and improving relationships.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

I integrate humanistic principles by creating a warm, non-judgmental environment that encourages clients to explore their feelings, values, and sense of meaning. I aim to help clients build a stronger sense of self-worth and empower them to make choices that align with their values and goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify, understand, and challenge, unhelpful, thought patterns, develop healthier, perspectives, and build skills for coping and reducing anxiety and related symptoms. I find CBT, especially helpful when working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, as well as for those who feel stuck and overwhelmed.

Psychodynamic

Through a psychodynamic approach, I help clients gain a deeper understanding of how past experiences and relationships influence their current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This insight helps to promote self-awareness and emotional healing while fostering personal growth and lasting change.

During each session with Jacinda....she listens (I talk A LOT) and she makes notes and responds with questions that address specific behaviors she notices in what I've shared. My responses to those questions give Jacinda clarity, but also serve as a reminder for me to stop and think before I react because if I practice what I know is right more often....then even when feeling an emotional trigger....I will respond appropriately. THAT's REALLY HARD TO DO because I'm so emotionally heartbroken

Jacinda sees me, and invites forward the parts of me that I keep hidden. She knows just the right questions to ask, and is great at navigating my tension and insecurities with grace and healthy curiosity. I highly recommend her!
