First session
In my first session, I want to learn about you. This entails the positive qualities about people. I want to know what experiences worked and did not work if you had therapy in past. Finally, I address the long-term outcome desired by the client.
Strengths
As a provider, my greatest strength is my flexibility and adaptability. With feedback from clients, I can address and change interventions which are not providing optimal outcomes . My second strength is my warmth and sense of humor. Finally, I am reliable to ensure continuity of care.
Ideal clients
Clients I work with are interactive, like humor, and provide feedback about their experiences in therapy about what is working for them and what is not so I can serve them
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have utilized the primary concepts of CBT for several years. The connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors have a unique interplay in our lives. The more we are in-touch with our thoughts and feelings, the healthier choices people make.
Family Therapy
I have conducted family therapy for several years and was the foundation of my Masters Degree. Families face unique challenges, trauma often the trigger, and several techniques and skills are utilized to build a healthy foundation for all.
