Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will spend sometime getting to know each other and identify the obstacles that you may be experiencing. This type of assessment helps us collaborate to create our path forward in treatment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With 15 years of therapy experience and my own life journey, my greatest strength as a provider is my creativity in finding effective solutions to overcome obstacles. I am not accepting couples at this time. If you are interested in couples and want to discuss options for treatment, I'm available to discuss via messaging but will not be able to take on any new couples at this time.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented therapy approach that emphasizes clients’ strengths, resources, and preferred future rather than focusing on problems or past difficulties. In practice, it uses targeted questions — such as the “miracle question” and scaling — to help clients identify clear goals and recognize progress. We would work together in a collaborative stance, highlighting what is already working and building on those successes. This approach is practical, efficient, and empowering, making it especially effective in time-limited or outcome-focused settings.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach in individual counseling that helps clients manage intense emotions and improve interpersonal effectiveness. Originally developed for individuals with borderline personality disorder, it is now widely used to treat a range of emotional and behavioral issues. DBT combines cognitive-behavioral strategies with mindfulness practices to build skills in four key areas: emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. Clients learn to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, accept difficult emotions without judgment, and develop healthier ways to interact in relationships, ultimately fostering resilience and a greater sense of control over their emotional lives.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in individual counseling is an attachment-based approach aimed at helping clients understand and process their emotions, often rooted in unmet attachment needs. EFT encourages clients to identify, explore, and express their core emotions in a safe, supportive setting. Through this process, clients gain insight into how these emotions influence their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. By addressing and transforming negative emotional patterns, EFT helps individuals build a stronger sense of self-compassion, improve emotional regulation, and create more fulfilling, authentic connections with themselves and others.

Jesseca made me feel heard and seen as a person with inattentive ADHD and who is married to a hyperactive ADHD partner. She was able to help provide me with perspective with my partner and their anxieties. She also pushed me to communicate more directly with friends and family. I leaned into saying no more and have reunited with one of my best friends after a falling out. Jesseca gave me all the tools and confidence to take up space. Highly recommend her when she is booking clients again.
