I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in AZ. I also hold licenses in MI, PA and TX. I graduated from Messiah University with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been working in the field for 8 years. I really enjoy working with couples and families, but am always humbled and honored to walk through a challenging time with any client(s).
In our first session, we would spend time with brief introductions and then I would give you a lot of space to share your story. Knowing what is going on for you is important not just to help create a treatment plan, but the power of being heard is often healing in itself.
Through my experiences in working with clients over the last few years, I believe that I have gained some solid tools to offer tangible help. I desire to work collaboratively with my clients to meet them where they’re at and walk alongside them through their journey.
I have spent a large part of my career working with couples and families. I have received training in both of those areas to help better serve those populations. I have also gotten specialized training to work with children coming out of the foster care system and who have been adopted.
I believe our relationships are incredibly powerful agents of growth and change in our lives. Understanding what we have learned from our relationships, how we can take our own responsibility to care and heal those messages, and move toward wholeness is vital.
My faith is a very important part of my life and work. If you as the client are open to exploring that or integrating faith into services I am as well.
I draw upon training in Focus Marital Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy in my couples work. It is always a privilege to walk with couples in the therapy space.
I have training in structural family therapy that I draw on to work with family systems. I am also a TBRI practitioner and have training to work with children with foster and adoption backgrounds.
