My name is Natalie; I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. My role in the therapeutic relationship is to build rapport, curate a safe space for my clients, identify the root issue, begin to work on steps to resolve set issues. I am known for being a therapist that listens and empathizes with compassion and non-judgement. I see myself as a lock box full of tools ready to be discovered and utilized.
In our first session, we are simply beginning to learn what the treatment need is. In order to do that, my client complete initial assessments that look at family of origin, cultural background, upbringing, values and beliefs. From there we begin to explore what brings us to the table and create goals.
My level of care for my clients is at the top of my priority Meeting the client where they are at in their lives Creating an environment that is easeful Holding my clients accountable to the desired goals set forth Incorporating skills and interventions during the session or beyond the session.
I am best positioned to service clients who are truly prepared to show up for themselves and engage in a transparent conversation around their needs and their desires. My clients understand that my true role is to facilitate a process to get from one point to the next. I am best positioned to serving emerging adults and women who are currently exploring the different transitions in their life whether that be marriage, child bearing, career changes, personal health, navigating personal relationships etc.
This treatment method is used to help my clients get to the root of their issue by externalizing the problem initially identified. Once that it is established, we begin to work on feasible solutions to work on during session and outside of session.
