Welcome! I’m an anxiety therapist in Texas. Talking through problems to creatively develop solutions that allow you to move toward being the best, and most fulfilled version of yourself is my goal as your counselor. Whether it’s dealing with strong emotions, navigating shifting relationships, managing school/work demands, or sorting through family conflicts, I provide a safe and accepting space for you to be boldly honest about your feelings and create a path towards health and well-being. Actively working together creates the fastest and most impactful change. My goal is to work myself out of a job because you are feeling better and living a more fulfilled life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, after a brief review of your intake forms, we’ll spend some time getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what you hope and want from counseling. I’ll be asking a lot of questions so that together we can focus on your top goals. Working together will be an active partnership. In our sessions we will talk through and practice skills, or work through exercises/strategies to address your goals. My hope is that at the end of each session you will leave with a tool, a skill or an activity that you can use to create a more joyful and fulfilled life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I provide a welcoming, warm, client-focused environment. I pull from years of experience and training to find the best way forward in meeting your goals. Providing space for reflection, but also focused on action, the folks that work with me leave every session with a skill, strategy or action item that supports the changes that they want to make.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Being a young person today is more difficult than ever. Starting in middle school through those first couple of years in college, you are trying to figure out so many things all at once. From your emotions, your relationships and your commitments, it can be overwhelming. Constant feelings of worry, dread and moments of panic can create barriers to you living the life you want. Having a space place to talk through what’s most important to you is what I provide in counseling. Together we will tackle anxiety, practice effective skills and strategies, and make positive movement towards your goals. As your counselor I will actively work with you to help you create a more fulfilling, balanced and joyful life.

My treatment methods

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is all about being effective in creating a healthy and more joyful life. Learning and practicing these skills you become more mindful, improve relationships, handle difficult emotions and make healthier decisions that are in-line with your values and beliefs.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Focusing and building upon your strengths and best hopes is powerful in achieving positive change. As a cheerleader and co-collaborator, I’ll support you in discovering effective solutions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help you learn how our brains work and the connection between our thoughts, feelings and actions. With anxiety, our brains are sending our body messages to fear things that aren’t really harmful at all. Using tools from CBT helps us to decode these faulty messages and learn new skills so we can live fulfilled lives.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

This action driven approach focuses on learning skills to help you live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling. You’ll learn and practice strategies to increase flexibility in your thoughts and feelings as you act in line with your values.
