Hi, I'm Brianna! I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in California and Colorado and love being able to make a positive impact in the world through therapy. My professional journey more recently has included counseling adults through anxiety and depression, relationships, and life's obstacles as well as young professionals experiencing distress. I have spent the first 15 years of my career working with the adolescent population and their families. Making a positive impact on their lives and futures has been incredibly rewarding.
In our first session, you should expect a calm, no-judgment zone where we discuss what brings you to therapy at this time and answer any questions or concerns you may have about therapy, as well as a tentative plan to move forward. My goal is for you to walk away feeling heard, understood and hopeful for the therapeutic process to improve your quality of life.
Having worked with all types of clients over the last 15 years I feel the assets that have best served me in connecting with each one is my honest, caring, and transparent nature, combined with some humor when appropriate.
I love working with a variety of populations. I feel adept and enjoy adolescents, college age or young professionals and helping them navigate their struggles and path. Being able to help parents, moms with post-partum, or those struggling with relationships is also an area I am passionate about. Likewise, I am always happy to address those experiencing anxiety and transitional issues and intertwining Christian faith if desired.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I believe in using a variety of modalities to treat clients in order tailor to your personality and unique characteristics. CBT is often intertwined as is is easily understood and helps elicit change quickly.
Compassion Focused
I feel compassion and empathy to what each client is going through is an essential component of treatment regardless of who they are what they are experiencing.
Humanistic
Focusing on the person and really trying to understand their experience and perspective is a key component to my therapeutic approach
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing can be a very effective treatment method when clients are desiring more short term solutions and are more aware of their goals and desire to get there. I really enjoy using this technique to help clients reach their potential.

My first therapist ever and I could never understand how people view therapists so negatively once we began our sessions together. She's kind, thoughtful, open-minded, and will always encourage and reassure you. She thinks of therapy as more than just work by putting her all into helping you. Also man do I wish I had her memory.

I wish I could have chosen more ... I would add solution oriented and humorous - she is a great fit for me and today I had an epiphany, thanks to her guidance.
