Kortney Wooten
I am a relational style therapist who believes relationships and how connected we feel to other people really impact our well-being. I also believe that we all have unique backgrounds that should be taken into consideration especially when discussing concerns in therapy.
I have a passion for social justice advocacy and believe clients' identities and the systems we live in can significantly impact their lives.
I have a passion for social justice advocacy and believe clients' identities and the systems we live in can significantly impact their lives. As a therapist, I try my best to make work we do feel empowering for clients.
First session
I want clients to walk away from sessions feeling validated and empowered to take on the challenges in their lives. To feel like change is possible and that the steps they are taking in the present will help them get there.
Strengths
My greatest strength is my ability to provide a safe space for my clients to discuss their concerns without feeling judged or criticized. I also meet clients where they are at in regards to their readiness for change.
Ideal clients
I believe therapy should be a healthy, collaborative connection between myself and my clients. I want my client to feel comfortable voicing their concerns in our sessions and feel motivated to work toward making changes in their lives. Any clients that are open to or need a push toward change are welcome!
