As a clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in trauma-informed and EMDR therapy that empowers you to take control of your mental health. Imagine being able to rewrite the narratives that have held you back—like turning the page on a chapter that no longer serves you. My approach is both holistic and goal-directed, focused on practical solutions and compassionate support. I received my Masters Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2004.
In our first session we will start with brief introductions and then find out what challenges you are currently facing. We can then discuss your history and develop a treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.
I have worked with adults and teenagers over the last nine years and have developed a skill set to help identify the cause(s) of your challenges and develop a plan to address them and help you move forward.
I work best with clients who are age 15-64. If you’re ready to embrace change and cultivate a life filled with balance and freedom from trauma, I invite you to reach out. Let’s embark on this journey together, where lasting, positive change is not just a possibility, but can become your reality.
EMDR is more than talk therapy alone. It incorporates bilateral stimulation, through guided eye movements, sound or tapping to help the brain reprocess memories. The therapy consists of eight phases that starts with history taking and ends with closure. The core of EMDR takes places in the middle phases. I trained in EMDR in 2018 and have been using it ever since. I am an EMDRia certified therapist. I most often use this therapy to help reprocess traumatic memories, anxiety, PTSD, depression, chronic pain and performance anxiety.
CBT is a structured form of therapy that helps you understand and change thought patterns and behaviors contributing to emotional difficulties.
