I am a holistic / integrative Psychotherapist and Buddhist trained Eco-chaplain with 6 years of psychotherapy experience and over 10 years of experience in mental health. My passion as a healer is to help individuals overcome the internal challenges that stand between them and living agentic and fully expressed lives. Mental health is a dimension of our experience that touches on every facet of our lives - from our friends, families and communities, to our jobs, our sense of connection (or disconnection) from our bodies, environment, and broader world. I partner with clients to organically explore what it means to live well - to heal according to authentic self-understanding, and show up wholesomely in our relationships and our communities.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, we'll begin to build the therapeutic alliance - discussing therapy goals, treatment history, and important things for me to know about how I can best support you. Over the course of these sessions, we will collaboratively elucidate a targeted treatment plan and move toward more goal oriented work.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

How I work: None of us are uni-dimensional, and neither are our problems. That's why I approach my work from a holistic, insight oriented and empowerment focused perspective. As an integrative therapist, I understand that there is no one-size-fits all modality that works for everyone and every problem that we face. Nor are are there one-size-fits-all therapists. I work best with clients looking to partner in their healing and growth, to investigate the patterns and circumstances that keep them locked within cycles of pain, and to pursue a life worth living* despite the obstacles that life has handed them. My areas of specialty include anxiety, trauma (complex, racial, and trans-generational trauma), emotion regulation, ADHD/AuDHD, QT-BIPOC experiences, TGNC care (including "later"life transitions, coming out, parenthood, gender affirmation letters and assessments), chronic illness, toxic or rejecting families, relational health (boundaries, toxic relationship patterns, etc.).

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

As a Black, neuro-queer, nonbinary / FtX therapist thriving amid chronic illness, I have a particular passion for providing culturally appropriate mental health care for sex & gender-diverse (TGNB, LGBQIA+, Poly / CNM, Kink, etc.), disabled / chronically ill, BIPOC, and neuro-queer individuals (and intimate partnerships), as well as their loved ones and allies. I adore working with people who dream of a better world beyond the status-quo and who desire to build it within the space of healing their own lives, families, and communities. I work especially well with people who are here to do the work. My specialties include: -Family and relational dynamics (healthy relationships, boundaries, navigating discordant and toxic family dynamics). -CPTSD (complex trauma, Black inter-generational trauma, children of narcissistic and immature parents). -Gender and transgender issues (exploration, affirmation, gender affirmation letters, transition guidance, transgender parenthood, "later" life transitioning). -Anxiety and OCD related disorders. Mood dysregulation (depression, bipolar). Perfectionism. -Chronic suicidal ideation and self-harm (please note that I do not offer emergency or crisis services at this time) -Borderline personality disorder (I am an experienced DBT therapist and former comprehensive DBT skills trainer) -Mid-life and identity transitions. Relocating/reclaiming the self. -Queer relationships and parenthood -Dharma-informed Psychotherapy, Eco-therapy, and Eco-chaplain and Earth-based Chaplain services (please visit my website for more information on chaplain and Earth-based ritual services). -Support for anti-oppression and social change workers (including teachers, healers, artists, organizers, DEI workers, and students)

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am a trained and experienced DBT therappist and former comprehensive skills trainer. I currently offer DBT informed therapy, DBT therapy for individuals currently in comprehensive skills programming and graduates, and individual skills training with those who are otherwise unable to access skills training groups.

Gender-affirming therapy

I support clients with gender exploratio, affirmation, and letter assessments. Together, we can navigate self-exploraion, coming out, transition decisions (including later-in-life), parenthood, and relationships - always honoring both binary and non-binary experiences.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Integrated with other evidence based modalities, mindfulness practices can help calm stress and anxiety, support steadier moods, improve somatic connectedness and stability, and make it easier to navigate difficult thoughts and emotions with more patience and self-compassion.

Relational

A warm, attuned therapy relationship helps create a steady sense of emotional safety—so you can slow down, notice repeating patterns, and explore them without judgment. In that supportive space, it becomes easier to work through old wounds, practice more honest communication, and build trust in yourself and in relationships

Somatic

I integrate polyvagal and other somatic practices to help you better understand your nervous system and build more moments of felt safety in your body. Together, we’ll track sensations and stress cues, and practice gentle regulation skills—so you can feel more present, connected, and empowered over time. Used with more direct approaches, somatic work can help expand clients' distress tolerance and facilitate deeper processing work.
