I am a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH) in the state of Delaware. I received my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). My goal as a therapist is to develop a strong therapeutic relationship in order to help my clients identify their strengths and create attainable goals. My door is open to all populations.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your first session, you can prepare to ask me any questions that you may be having about the therapeutic process and my experience in the field. I will also be asking questions to help me get to know you a little bit better. I will have you explore the presenting problem that bring you to therapy. I may also explore some history that may help with understanding you better.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider is my active listening skills, dedication and reliable attitude, and personable and easy going quality. I provide empathy to my clients and ensure that I actively listen to what you are presenting to me so that at the end of the day, you feel heard and validated. I am dedicated to my work and great with communication to ensure that necessary follow-ups are communicated clearly with my clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a common approach I use to assist client with recognizing how their thought patterns and feelings are impacting their behaviors. I use CBT exercises within the therapeutic environment and often provide clients with tools to use outside of sessions to improve their lifestyle and overall mental health.

Couples Counseling

Couples and marriages will face many challenges and differences. I utilize a combination of techniques to assist couples with building healthy communication and resolution skills to improve their dynamics.

Eclectic

I approach counseling with an eclectic view, utilizing multiple approaches based on the needs of my clients. I utilize different models to meet the needs of the specific client that I am seeing.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

As a person-centered clinician, my goal is to develop a strong therapeutic relationship in order to help my clients identify their strengths and create attainable goals. The client is the expert of their lives and I am here to provide a non-judgemental, genuine, and compassionate experience.

Strength-Based

It can be easy to identify things we feel like we fail at. With a strengths based approach, I help my clients identify their positive qualities and strengths to improve their resilience and recognize their internal resourcefulness.
