What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first therapy session will be spent discussing your goals and expectations and getting to know each other. This time is intended to be collaborative, so we can ask each other questions to determine if we are a good fit. This session will also be used to talk about any fears or concerns you may have about therapy. We will also discuss how we can work together to help you reach your goals. Finally, we will set a timeline for when to start working together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My goal is to help you discover how your past and present experiences influence your emotions and behaviors. The process of therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Therefore, I tailor treatments to my clients' unique needs and concerns. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, empowering, and direct. Being my true, authentic self is what I strive for because I am not your typical therapist and enjoy being real. I believe in treating my clients with respect and kindness, while challenging them to reach their potential. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment, where clients can express their feelings and work through their issues. It is my mission to support you as you strive to create a life that you desire on your own terms.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Providing clients with tools to identify, counteract, and cope with problematic thoughts, beliefs, and interpretations, and to understand how these affect symptoms, feelings, and problems for over 13 years.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution focused therapy has helped me work with clients to identify their strengths and focus on solutions rather than problems during my years of practice. It helps to provide the client with a structured way of thinking and an action plan to work towards their goals. Clients have been able to move forward in a positive manner with the help of this method.

Motivational Interviewing

In my years of clinical practice, addiction has been my specialty. I have employed motivational interviewing with clients and patients who struggle with addiction, and I have found that this approach can result in positive behavioral changes that lead to more successful outcomes. In addition to cognitive behavioral therapy, I have also helped patients understand the underlying cause of their behavior and develop healthier coping mechanisms. Furthermore, I have also used relapse prevention strategies to help clients maintain their sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

With my years of clinical experience, I have helped individuals learn how to manage difficult emotions, improve relationships, and regulate their behavior using dialect behavioral therapy. In my experience, it is an effective therapy for helping individuals manage difficult emotions and build stronger relationships.
