Hello there! I'm Ryan. Have you been finding it more and more difficult to find motivation in once simple tasks? Do you struggle in finding happiness in things you used to enjoy? Has it been hard in being kind to yourself? I assist people in managing their anxiety and depression, and look to put the client first in making empowered decisions over their lives- from small to colossal and anywhere in between. Together, we can work together to identify things that aren't working and get you back to a place of balance and equilibrium. I love being able to develop rapport with clients to better understand their worldview and go from there. I find it of utmost importance to put what the desires and needs are of the client and having that be the backbone of our sessions together. Whether you are going through a crisis in life, or just want someone to talk to, I am here to help. Taking the first step in seeing a therapist can be daunting and intimidating, but it is what can be so helpful to feel more well rounded in life. Together, we can work together to go over your goals and aspirations. Let's connect!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

For the first few meetings, I like to prioritize understanding the worldview and goals of the client. Over time, we will develop a treatment plan together- which involves formulating goals within therapy that YOU would like to work on and address over time. I am also of the belief that a strong rapport with your therapist is necessary. Being able to feel comfortable with your therapist in talking about challenging aspects of life is already daunting- but doing that without someone you feel comfortable with is even more of an uphill climb. I like to be able to be candid and straightforward with clients in my practice, and hope that those clients can be as candid and honest with me.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I predominantly use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) which involves dissecting different thoughts you may have about yourself or the world around you, and learning how to look at those things within a different, more helpful perspective. I also tend to pull from different evidence-based modalities, dependent on situations and client presentation. Specifically, I have history of incorporating DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), motivational interviewing, role playing, trauma informed care, and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy.)

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel as though my biggest strength as a clinician is providing autonomy and respect for the clients who come into sessions. I work tirelessly to to better understand and listen to where my clients are coming from-to better understand them and to ensure they have a safe place to be heard and validated. Therapy is made to be a safe place to be vulnerable and transparent. I am of the belief that therapy can not be effective without structure, rapport, and having common goals together. If we work together, I will make it my mission to put you in the driver's seat while I sit alongside helping with navigation on this road of life.
