I am a licensed clinical social worker in Kentucky. My passion is creating a safe and sacred space for my clients to do their work by processing and talking through the issues that they prioritize. I have experience with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, abuse, stress, grief and loss, and low self-esteem. I specialize in working with adults who are interested in maximizing their lives and their potential. I value clients and pride myself on treating them all with the utmost care in a judgment-free space. I have worked with diverse populations of people and I am trained in cultural diversity. I utilize proven theories like cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients to analyze their thought processes and core beliefs to determine how those thoughts and beliefs contribute to their outcomes. My ultimate goal is to walk with my clients and help them focus on their priorities and find solutions that will empower them to soar in every area of their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will build rapport, and I will focus on listening to you talk about what concerns you and what you prioritize as the challenges, conflicts, issues, and specific problems that you want to address in therapy. At the end of our first session, we will have a treatment plan created and you will leave with something that you can begin working on to help you begin the dynamic and important work of healing! It is my greatest hope that you will leave the first session feeling like it was a good idea to pursue therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The way we think has much to do with the way we live! I use CBT to identify automatic thoughts, negative thinking patterns, and intrusive thoughts that may be negatively impacting your life. Once we do this, we can implement strategies to change those patterns from unhealthy to healthy to increase positive outcomes and help you live your best life, everyday!

Couples Counseling

I love couples counseling because it gives me an opportunity to help couples who feel that they are "at war" with each other, find common ground! My approach is simple! First, we create a safe and sacred space for both parties to share with each other the issues that are of concern to them. Next, we increase positive communication between the two people. Third, we find common ground and remind each person that as a couple, we don't fight against each other, we team up to fight the issues that threaten the partnership. Once these are addressed, we strategize to create a plan that will allow couples to go forward in the healthiest, happy way possible!
