Hi, my name is Cynthia Stober and I go by Cindy. thank you for stopping by my profile and what I can tell you about myself is I will always be honest with you and I will work with you to find solutions. I will meet with you and we will discuss what type of interventions may work for you I am skilled and experienced. I will be utilizing Person-Centered and strengths-based therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I will learn about you and what happened to you. I will listen and help you in setting your goals and design a plan that is individualized specifically for you. I specialize in treating people who suffer from addiction disorders, depression, anxiety, shame and guilt, anger, and more. I hope you read something that sparked your interest and you will reach out to me to explore if I might be someone you are interested in working with. Peace and hope to you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will introduce ourselves then determine if we are the right fit to get started in therapy. I will answer questions you may have and I hope you will do the same at your comfort level. I will let you know how I think we can begin with some specific goals and interventions I will use. Once we have our base to start we will set up our meeting schedule.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person and strengths based therapy and additional methods that may help engage the client.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Addiction Disorders are my specialty as I have been working in this field over 25 years. I am experienced with co-occurring disorders of depression, anxiety, PTSD and other mood disorders. My approach is finding your strengths and learn how to use those to achieve goals in an agreed upon time frame. I have lived experience and have been in recovery 28 years from addictions and other mental health disorders. I understand how scary it can be to ask for help and to open up. I will work with you gently if that helps or if you need more direction and accountability I will work with you.
