My name is Iryna. I am licensed clinical psychotherapist specializing in trauma, grief, depression and anxiety disorders, addictions, and couple therapy. If you are in need of a perspective on the difficulties you are experiencing, please get in touch with me to schedule an appointment. While the initial step may be difficult and uncertain, it is often necessary. I treat my clients with dignity, respect, and professionalism. To create a non-judgmental environment, I accept my clients for who they are and meet them where they are at in their lives. I support the development of self-determination, and I respect their privacy. I would like to be your therapist and work together to ease the pain or a confusion you are currently experiencing, or ongoing struggles that may bother you from the past. With best regards, Iryna

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session could be anxiety-provoking, especially for those who have never had experience with therapy. It's normal to feel this way, so don't worry. Our goal for the first session is to feel the atmosphere and develop a professional relationship, which is crucial to the success of any therapy. Just bring yourself, relax, and enjoy the journey!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My belief is in the healing abilities of therapeutic relationships with my clients, and I tend to avoid focusing on the individual's diagnosis. Instead of focusing on my clients' diagnoses, I concentrate on their strengths.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS creates a connection between the internal (unconscious) and external (conscious) realms by helping individuals in gaining access to their own Self-energy and, from there, gaining a better understanding and healing of their inner parts.

Couples Counseling

Assisting partners in restoring an emotional connection with each other by finding ways to communicate respectfully, compassionately, and constructively.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

By replacing automatic negative thoughts with rational ones, CBT can help individuals improve emotional difficulties, depression, and anxiety. CBT identifies, challenges, and replaces faulty thoughts with more objective and realistic ones.

EMDR

EMDR's primary objective is to modify the emotions, thoughts, or behavior that resulted from a distressing experience (trauma). Recognizing the difference in how our brain stores normal and traumatic memories allows me to bridge the gap between what we experience (feel, hear, see) and the information our brain stores in memory through language.
