Nicole is a wife, stepmother to 4, and has been ever engaged in the field of healing throughout the past 11 years. She is well versed in helping others tap into the root causes of their pain and helping them move from a place of surviving to thriving. After witnessing her own father’s recovery from a brain stem stroke, she found herself at a professional crossroad. She has always been aware that healing is a tripod- the medical model seeks to heal the body, therapy seeks to heal the mind, but often times the spiritual aspect of healing remains unaddressed. It is this aspect that led Nicole to dive more deeply into integrative wellness and immerse herself into true healing. In more recent time, Nicole has become dedicated in working with individuals who are facing terminal illnesses/ children who are facing their parent's long-term illnesses.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I always explain that the first session feels a little all over the place, as we will be digging into an overview of your life and a time line of different areas. I say this so our expectations are set that not every session feels like this. Session two becomes very specific and begins different assignments or specific information in regards to each individual person's treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Healing is the most powerful journey, and I am honoured to be a part of yours! I have been involved and ever-evolving in the therapy world for the past ten years. I am certified as a CGCS- Certified Grief Counseling Specialist, CFTP- Certified Family trauma professional, CMHIMP- Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Professional, and am a Soulcollage ® Workshop facilitator. All of these fancy letters mean one thing- I am dedicated to keeping up with the latest tools for your benefit.

My treatment methods

Adlerian

Adlerian therapy often identifies that healing happens best in community, so in many ways individuals will be challenged to identify resources and spaces in which they can heal best.

Trauma Informed Care

I have extensive training in trauma and often integrate methods of psychoeducation and self-regulation into the treatment of trauma. I have certifications in family trauma, compassion fatigue, and grief- which I consider to also be a trauma as it impacts every area of our lives.
