Welcome! I am Britney Monroe, a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Washington State working with clients virtually statewide. Having worked in schools and outpatient settings, I've gained insight into diverse needs across age groups and backgrounds. These experiences enriched my perspective and informed my approach to tailor support for each individual. I am here to support you in making meaning, providing a safe, comforting space, and discussing ways to become your best self. The therapeutic process is a healing process empowering you to find inner strength to cope with life challenges. I aim to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and foster a more positive outlook on life. Therapy isn't just about the destination but the transformative journey toward growth and well-being. Together, we'll take steps toward creating a life where you feel more empowered, self-aware, and better equipped to face life's challenges with confidence. Let's embark on this journey together. Your path towards a happier, more fulfilling life starts here.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT has helped so many clients to shift their thinking for better well-being. It helps clients manage their anxiety and navigate interpersonal relationships. There will be times we will work on ways to practice your new knowledge and thought processes in sessions or apply it in your daily life.

Mind-body approach

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy works well to assist clients in feeling a more security within themselves and healthy connections with others. This approach can help you recognize how trauma affects your physical body, emotions, and thinking. We’ll use this mind-body connection in sessions to assist you in processing trauma and finding new ways to feel a sense of security and connection.
