Hello, I am so glad you’re here! You are one step closer to a new you who feels empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being, and I want to help you get there! My name is Sheila Bridges. I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work in 2005. I’ve been practicing as a Licensed Clinical social worker therapist for the past 16 years and have worked with a myriad of populations in various settings and I am passionate about the work that I do. I would like to work together with you to help you face your fears and get past your pain so that you can continue to get stronger and better and move on with your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We will mostly discuss why the client is seeking therapy and what he or she hopes to get out of it.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I like working from a strengths-based perspective. and providing a lot of encouragement while working with my client to accomplish their goals.

I am willing to work with any client who is willing to do the work to help change your situation or presenting issue that prompted them to seek therapy.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy allows the client to tell their story, and discover strengths within themselves that helps to clarify their situation, which leads to improved desirable treatment outcomes.
