Dr. Tracy LaChapelle (Dr. T) is a licensed professional counselor with a doctorate in educational leadership. She specializes in the treatment of adolescents and adults. Evidence-based trauma-informed practices are used to treat trauma, depression, anxiety, loneliness, ADHD, Dis-Abilities, self-esteem concerns, social anxiety, autism, social skills deficits, and various life transitions. Dr. T provides Transgender-Gender Affirming Care, serving members of the LGBTQ+ population and their families to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for self-exploration and self-acceptance. Dr. T says, "Engaging in therapy is not about changing a person; it is finding the person, their strengths, and supporting them to be their true selves."

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Dr. T’s therapeutic approach is laid back, flexible, and with a sense of humor. She is often referred to by clients who have never been to therapy or felt they did not have good experiences in the past. In the first session, the client is in the driver's seat plugging in the GPS of where they want to go in achieving their goals.

Dr. T is committed to making a difference in the lives of others through the transparency of being dedicated to the field and practice of helping others through ongoing yearly therapeutic trainings, presenter at conferences, and peer-reviewed research publications. The Commissioner of Disabilities in her town and leads a Transgender Parent support group. Clients feel at ease knowing that I am a person who presents authentically.
