"When you make peace with yourself, you make peace with the world" As adults, we are responsible for changing things not because we are to blame for these things, but because we are the only ones who CAN change them. That can feel unfair, and it is. But it can also be empowering- you are the catalyst for personal change, you can always take a turn or step in a different direction, you can always act differently, feel differently, and (with the right tools and assistance) heal. I am here to help you with this noble work. As a mental health professional, I am passionate about helping others feel more whole, hopeful and effective by developing deeper self-knowledge, self-respect, compassion, resilience and coping skills.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strength is my authenticity of self and transparency- I am down to earth and I do not psychoanalyze my clients or hold back 'secret' impressions. I respect and treat you as a human being first, an expert in your lived experience. I want and need to hear your story in your own words before moving forward on any specialized interventions. Informed consent is extremely important to me, as is the integrity of our working relationship. Goal-setting is a collaborative process and maintaining trust and open communication is essential to all of the above.
